Burt Wonderstone is a comedy film directed by Don Scardino. The story was written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Dalex. The story is all about Burt Wonderstone played by Steve Carell a magician tries to reunite with his former colleague Anton Marvelton played by Steve Buscemi. He plans a reunite to take a threatening street magician called Steve Garay played by Jim Carrey. And the plot of the film is happening in Las Vegas.
Before the film for production it came across many hurdles. The initial development process started when Charles McDougall was appointed as the director of the film in 2011, but for some reasons he had to leave and from then on Scardino started directing the film.
Initially the filming was planned to begin on October 2011, but for untold reasons the filming started only by Jan 2012. The total budget for the film is $30 million and the film is expected to release on March 15th 2013.
The Plot
Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton are popular magicians in Las Vegas. But they had to separate when Wonderston hurts Anton during a magic trick called hotbox. In due course Wondertone starts to lose his popularity when Steve Gray played by Jim Carrey a street magician shoots to fame.
Now Wonderstone needs somehow find Anton and reunite with him to regain his losing fame.
